This month Elite attended two training sessions at Hikvision’s London offices.

Hikvision are dominating the CCTV market and contra to rumours, “the Chinese Government have no association” as said by James Stevens (Training and Showroom Manager) but they have resources that are paralleled only by the competitors that have been in the industry along time. They have 34,000 employees worldwide which includes a R & D department of 16,000.

The company went public in May 2010, they are listed on SMEs Board at Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

They have an extensive range of CCTV equipment but that is not there only business they have subsidiary’s spanning the globe. Including Pyronix known for there Intruder alarm equipment that Hikvision purchased a few years ago.

I have picked three products to tell you about that are new to the Hikvision range.

Pro series 3.0 camera

DS-2CD2185G0-IMS is a 2-megapixel ultra-low light Network Dome camera. It come in a variation of lenses either 2.8/4/6 mm

It can see down to the Lux level of 0.028 in colour. Infrared at 0 Lux and infrared range of 30 meters.

Capable of face detection and 4 behaviour analyses. 120dB WDR.

Deep in mind – NVR

The iDS-7700NXi-i14/16S(B) embedded 4K network video recorder, has the ability for <12 megapixel recording resolution. Two-way audio. HDMI and VGA simultaneous outputs. Hold a maximum of 4 hard disk drives. Network interface that is self-adaptive Ethernet. 3 USB ports.

DEEP IN MIND series of NVRs and Cameras technology is a learning algorithm that permit useful functions such as false alarm goal of rejecting things like animals, leaves and light movement. And accepting alarm triggering of human or vehicle.

Coping with the usual behavioural analysis that Hikvision is familiar with supplying, including line crossing and intrusion detection. There are so many more.

Lastly is the DS-2CD7146G0-IZS 4 Megapixel, Infrared, vari-focal, dome network camera.

Capable of seeing in low light level of 0.002 Lux. Face detection and capture of a high calibre, algorithms based on deep learning technology. Smart set features are plenty to cover a multitude of environments that you would want to operate security in. I.E behaviour analysis.
