Security Lighting

  1. Assess current outdoor lighting to determine if upgrades are needed for longer nights.
  2. Consider installing traditional LED security lighting with a photocell for dusk-to-dawn operation.
  3. Evaluate the need for motion-activated lighting using passive infrared or microwave detectors for energy efficiency and added security.
  4. Upgrade to a minimum of 10-watt LED security floodlight with an adjustable passive infrared detector for targeted areas.

 

Security Lighting with Cameras

  1. Review existing security lights to see if they need replacing or upgrading to models with integrated cameras.
  2. Explore options for combined light and camera units that connect via Ethernet, WiFi and smartphone apps for remote monitoring.

 

Video Doorbells

  1. Install or upgrade to a video doorbell for surveillance and parcel delivery notifications.
  2. Set up motion detection alerts to monitor activity at your front door, even if the doorbell isn’t pressed.

 

Access Control

  1. Evaluate the need for access control systems such as keypads, video intercoms, or electronic locks for offices or properties.
  2. Install vandal-resistant entry systems or touch WiFi monitor kits for enhanced entry management.

 

Surveillance Camera Systems

  1. Decide between wireless (solar, battery or mains powered) and wired surveillance systems based on property needs.
  2. Install wireless WiFi cameras for flexible placement and easy monitoring via mobile apps.
  3. Consider wired/wireless systems with DVR/NVR and AI analytics for advanced detection and reduced false alarms.

Buildings differ in size and requirements, consult building requirements and standards in your location, for Fire/Smoke CO2 detection

 

Intruder Alarms

  1. Review and upgrade intruder alarm systems to modern time and date stamped display and event logs, reliable models with app integration and additional features like home automation or camera surveillance.
