Ring has upgraded its peephole doorbell camera with a new 2K model, available for preorder at £79.99 ahead of its 19th August 2026 release.
The device includes a complimentary 30-day Ring subscription trial.

Key Features
- Replaces an existing door peephole without drilling or wiring.
- Upgrades video quality from 1080p to 2K compared with the 2019 Door View Cam.
- Includes 6x zoom and two-way audio.
- Features an exterior camera, doorbell, speaker, and microphone, with a removable battery offering up to 120 days of use between charges.
- A spare battery is recommended to minimise downtime.
- Supports live viewing through the Ring app or compatible Alexa and Google Assistant smart displays. For example, users can say, “Alexa, show the front door camera.”
The camera provides real-time motion alerts and customisable motion detection zones across a 140-degree field of view.
Some features, including access to recorded footage for up to 180 days and package alerts, require a Ring Protect subscription.
