Ring has upgraded its peephole doorbell camera with a new 2K model, available for preorder at £79.99 ahead of its 19th August 2026 release.

The device includes a complimentary 30-day Ring subscription trial.

Key Features

  • Replaces an existing door peephole without drilling or wiring.
  • Upgrades video quality from 1080p to 2K compared with the 2019 Door View Cam.
  • Includes 6x zoom and two-way audio.
  • Features an exterior camera, doorbell, speaker, and microphone, with a removable battery offering up to 120 days of use between charges.
  • A spare battery is recommended to minimise downtime.
  • Supports live viewing through the Ring app or compatible Alexa and Google Assistant smart displays. For example, users can say, “Alexa, show the front door camera.”

The camera provides real-time motion alerts and customisable motion detection zones across a 140-degree field of view.

Some features, including access to recorded footage for up to 180 days and package alerts, require a Ring Protect subscription.
